DAVE YOUNG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Dave Young was a passionate man that loved his family, community, many hobbies and the game of tennis. He was easy going, always had a smile on his face and when on the tennis court was always having fun…win or lose.
Dave was an integral part of the Baltimore Tennis Community. He was an Adult League member for over 20 years cultivating many relationships on the court. He was a member of the Baltimore Tennis Patrons coaching staff for 16 years and promoted the importance of great character, sportsmanship, being a team player all while having the desire to improve.
Dave’s enthusiasm and love for tennis was felt by all. He was so dedicated to the craft of teaching tennis and the desire to help others learn the game. He was a great communicator and thrived on making others laugh to help enjoy the game of tennis more.

The Dave Young Annual Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a Blue or Green JIL League player that demonstrates the qualities that were most important to Coach Dave Young : Sportsmanship, Team Player, Desire to Improve and Great Character
